Jim Morrison attended UCLA and completed his undergraduate degree in UCLA's film school in 1965. He is UCLA film school's most famous alumnus but never made a film, at least not a Hollywood film.
He made a couple of student films, but they were never completed. One of Jim's teacher was a visiting teacher and a film maker from Canada and Jim took a film production course with him. His name is Terry McCartney-Filgate and this is what he says about Jim Morrison as a student: "Jim had talent, but he was undisciplined. He never completed his student film. He refused to double-splice it. This was the '60s. It was too much trouble. I gave him an incomplete." You can read an interview with him about this here: http://www.americanlegends.com/Interviews/morrison_film.html

Here's a clip from his experimental film "HWY - An American Pastoral". He made it with a couple of friends in 1969. Jim Morrison and Ford Mustang Shelby..can't get any better than that. It was a 1967 Shelby GT. 500 and he called it "The Blue Lady". So groovy.
