Live at the Hollywood Bowl 1968

The Doors play "Alabama Song" at the Hollywood Bowl 1968. It's said to be one of the worst concert the Doors ever played. Why? Well..because Jim actually sang! For the most part, Jim never really held a "normal" concert. He mostly improvised in the middle of the songs and/or changed the lyrics and acted crazy. This concert was different..here he actually stuck to the original lyrics, and acted a lot less crazy than usual.
There are several reasons for this. The main reason is most likely that Jim and the rest of the band were under a lot of pressure during this concert. The Rolling Stones were invited to watch their concert to learn about how to play big arenas. At this time, not a lot of artists got the opportunity to play for so many people. The Doors were one of the only bands that attracted such a big audience.
Plus..Jim's girlfriend Pamela was sitting close to the stage with another man..and that most certainly made Jim jealous.

By the way..this was the only doors concert that was entierly filmed.
